Jay's Own Browser
Welcome to the Job project home page. I will describe the current,
and past, version of Job here, and give pointers to the source and
executeables.
- What is Job?
- It is a web browser writen in Java.
- What can it do?
- The most recent version can format and display HTML documents
which are accesable through your host file system.
- Is it copyrighted?
- Yes, the code is copyrighted. It is also protected by a user
liscence based on the Free Software Foundation's "CopyLeft" liscence.
You are welcome to have a copy of Job, but you must read the liscence agreement first.
- How do I get a copy?
- Go read the liscence, and it
will tell you how.
- Can I play?
- Sugestions and Bug Reports are always welcome. But if you
want to hack Java, you can do even better than just to make a
suggestion. I will be slightly re-arangeing the code to better match
the HotJava to Content Handler interface spec. When that is
complete, you will be free, and encoraged, to create new content
handlers, integrate them into Job, and set them free on the net.
