SCOUTMASTER’S CORNERIt is holiday time. I hope all had a great Thanksgiving and ate well. As we roll into the holiday season, as Scouts, we should be thinking of how the meaning of “Scout Spirit” applies to our actions. We all celebrate Christmas and Hanukah, but this is the time of the year that, as Scouts, giving should be on our minds. Giving of your time and efforts to others during this holiday season is what Scout spirit is all about. This can be done especially when you are out on holiday break. (You can use homework as an excuse) So as your Scoutmaster for this holiday season, practice Scout Spirit anywhere you can. DO A GOOD TURN DAILY!!! Our annual holiday party is set for Dec. 17, a Sunday, this year. It is hoped that on Sunday there won’t be any conflicts with office parties, family functions, etc. Also, school break begins that week. It will be held at Casa de Carlos (see enclosed flyer). Please, I would like to see everyone in our Troop there. The boys have decided to work on merit badges these next meetings, so Scouts please attend. You can get closer to earning some merit badges. That is it for now. My sincere wishes for a safe and wonderful holiday to all Scouts, their families, and to all the leaders of Troop 464. Yours in Scouting, Alex Balian, Scoutmaster
