| Driving Directions from Woodland
Hills: take 101 north to Ventura, take 126 north to Santa Paula, take 150 north approx 5 miles, park in lot just past St ??? Aquino College, right at point where highway veers west. Total trip is approx 60 miles, taking a little over an hour of driving time. |

Hiking Directions: From parking lot on highway, enter college campus and take road to the right (east) following "Hiker" signs to unlocked Ferndale Ranch gate. Pass through gate and follow trail. Big Cone campground is approx 3 1/2 miles from the highway. Continue on trail from camp 1/8 mile to river and follow river downstream 1/8 mile to the Punchbowls. The kids loved swimming in the 30+ deep pool under the falls. You've got to watch them closely though, others climb 25 to 30 ft up the cliffs and jump in. |
